Hi Folks!! I'm back. Thanks to Ed Kiss, who likes reading this blog, I will update ya'll on MC adventures on Oregon and Washington. If you did not know, Valley let me purchase a BMW R1200 GS. She fell in love with it in the store. I was looking at a used MC but but Valley said "NO", buy this fabulous new machine.
I have been exploring the back roads around Mcminnville, Or. Valley has started riding behind me. If my hips are squeezed real tight, it means I took that turn too fast as the Beemer holds the road.
I have experienced toe drag on the pavement on some sharp, slow speed turns. Me and Beemer are OK.
First long trip was from Mcminnville, Or to Mt Baker, Wa. Fred Kennedy, Courtney's DAD has a "CABIN" in Glacier on the way to the Mt Baker ski area. Weather was great. Only downer was stop and go traffic on I-5 during the middle of the day.
Had a nice visit and plotted a route for home using back roads. Met some other riders from Alberta that were traveling the 101 to San Diego, CA. Took the wrong turn north of Olympia and after a gas and voiding stop, we decided to blast down I-5 and explore the 101 at a later date.
Next post: Oregon riding!!
