Yesterday, I was twitching and had to get Beemer on the road. I need more miles to have the 6,000 mile checkup. The weather was a little cool, +45F, when I started but got a little warmer, later in the day. I left the house at 1 PM for a hearing aid checkup and then headed out on the road. Gassed up, and hit the road on Hwy 18 towards the Oregon coast. When I got near Grand Ronde, I turned on to Hwy 22W towards Tillamuck, Oregon. Nice twisty road. Hit small rain showers but did not put on rain gear. Traveled 35 miles and turned north on Hwy 101. Rode into Tillamuck but was not impressed. No. I did not get any cheese. Stopped at a small rest area and put more clothes on and headed south towards Lincoln City, Oregon. Traveled about 25 miles until I turned on to Hwy 18 back towards Mcminnville. Nice easy traveling through the Coastal range. Got back to MAC and to my surprise, Valley had dialed up the hot tub. Glass of nice Oregon wine and into the hot tub. 30 minutes later I was finally warmed up and had a nice chicken salad with more Oregon red wine.
Hope weather is nice tomorrow as I need to recondition my butt for longer rides. Valley and I planning a 2-up ride to Napa, California this summer as well as a trip to Bend and down to Crater Lake.
